The Vision of the IT Policy was discussed at the kick-off meeting on 1st September 2008. Followings are the suggested vision statments
- To harness the potential of IT, encouraging freedom of enterprise, innovation with state responsibility for the provision of internet and communication services to all citizens of Pakistan under the law of Pakistan.
- Connected Pakistan with its citizens empowered and benefited through information technology.
- The attainment of a free, united, informed and prosperous society with good governance through development communication.
- To achieve a Connected Pakistan with its citizens empowered and optimally benefited through the IT Technologies.
- To attain an empowered, free, prosperous and connected society having good governance by providing enabling environment for development, business and the citizen.
- To empower citizens to have ubiquitous and universal access to IT for good governance and a prosperous Pakistan.
- Empowering people through IT for tomorrow to bring Pakistan at par with developed economies.
- To continue to develop and evolve policies, best practices and recommendation for improvement of governance for the promotion of business, the economy and society in Pakistan through the use of IT and IT enabled Services
